A 28-year-old Fort Lauderdale man was arrested Sunday after a witness allegedly saw the man having sex with a dog named Mimi.
According to a police report, the witness apparently viewed the man penetrating the dog’s backside with his penis. The witness claims the dog was “whimpering in pain” when it was taken away from the man.
The man is accused of trying to evade arrest by spinning away from police as they walked him towards the patrol car.
He is charged with having sexual contact with animals, causing cruel death, pain or suffering to an animal and resisting arrest without violence. He was transported to Broward County Jail with bail set at $12,500.
The man is originally from Guatemala and is currently being held for investigation by the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
The man appeared before a judge on Monday where he was almost denied bond.
