Casselberry Man Pleads Guilty to Possession of Child Porn
A Casselberry man faces up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.
The 30-year-old former emergency medical technician messaged an undercover FBI agent via a social media application known as KIK in September 2018 about sexually exploiting a 12-year-old girl, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida.
FBI agents interviewed the man in October 2018 at his home, and he apparently admitted he had been viewing child pornography for the past four or five years and had uploaded images of children engaged in sex acts to a Dropbox account, court records show.
Authorities viewed the account and found hundreds of pornographic videos and images of children between the ages of 4 and 10, records show.
The man faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. His sentencing date has not been scheduled.
