A 64-year-old man was arrested in a sting operation after allegedly traveling from Austin, Texas, to Central Florida to have sex with a 9-year-old girl, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Police claim the man responded to an ad posted by detectives and expressed interest in having sex with both the child and her parents.
The man apparently described sex acts he intended to do to the child to a detective posing as the 9-year-old, according to police. Officers say the man planned to meet the girl’s parents in Orlando, but was instead met by police.
The man is charged with attempted sexual battery on a child among other charges.
His bond is set at $1,500 but a hold has been placed on his case to keep him in Orange County Jail.
