A director of a group home in Bay County has been arrested on charges of having sexual intercourse with a child, according to reports.
The 34-year-old was charged Monday with lewd and lascivious battery. The alleged sexual relationship took place while the juvenile lived in the foster home he was in charge of running.
The alleged victim apparently told investigators that she came to live in the home at the age 13. She claims a sexual relationship with the man began when she was 14, and the relationship continued through her 18th birthday.
The man was arrested in Okaloosa County this weekend taking a group of juveniles from on a field trip to Destin. He was arrested by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and charged. He is currently in the process of being transported to the Bay County Jail.
According to court records, the man did not have a criminal history prior to the allegations.
