Alleged Actions During Consensual Sex Result in Sexual Battery Arrest

A Davenport man accused of sexual battery was arrested Sunday.

The 39-year-old and a woman were having consensual sex Saturday at a Gainesville hotel room when the man allegedly forced the woman into a sex act she did not want, according to a Gainesville Police Department arrest report.

The sex act caused injury, according to reports.

Police claim the woman repeatedly told the man to stop, but he didn’t.

After his arrest, the man denied forcing the woman to do anything. He was charged with sexual battery and booked into the Alachua County jail.

As of Monday morning, bond had not been set.
